LAURA MILLER ART

Improvisation: creating in the moment and in response to the stimulus of one’s environment and inner feelings.

In the book “Free Play’ by Stephan Nachmonovitch, he writes that ‘play’ is the starting place of creativity. It makes us flexible and enables us to rearrange our capacities so that they can be used in unforeseen ways.

It is with this spirit in which I approach art: with immediate response and the freedom of playfulness.

Originally from Georgia, I spent twenty years in Montana and have recently moved back to the Walton County area. I went to the Academy of Art College in San Francisco and have a design degree from the University of Georgia. I have been juried into the Charlie Russell Art Auction, the Montana Land Reliance Art Auction, the Shadows of the Past Art Auction, various Hockaday Museum art shows, Southworks Art Exhibition in Georgia and the Missoula Museum Triennial for Contemporary Artists.
